Often, due to too little water in the body, there is a problem of electrolyte imbalance, due to which other problems including fatigue, and lethargy also start. Elements like sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphate, and chloride are considered helpful in maintaining electrolytes.

Due to lack of water, there is a problem of electrolyte imbalance, which can be due to many other reasons. People with kidney or liver disease are more prone to have an electrolyte imbalance, such as vomiting-diarrhea, or not drinking enough water or fluids. In this case, special care needs to be taken.

Symptoms of electrolyte imbalance:-
When the problem of electrolyte imbalance takes a serious form, then some signs can be seen. Sometimes this problem is not even detected without a blood test. Electrolyte imbalances can cause irregular heartbeat, fatigue, lethargy, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, and abdominal cramps. If such symptoms are appearing again and again, then there is a need to be alert immediately and consult a doctor.

Prevention of electrolyte imbalance:-
To avoid the problem of electrolyte imbalance, the amount of water and fluids should be increased. However, sports drinks or cold drinks should be avoided even in liquid. For this, the solution of ORS, glucose, lemonade, or electrol should be drunk several times a day, it also gives rest to the body. Apart from this, one should eat electrolyte-rich foods like coconut water, banana, green leafy vegetables, avocado, nuts, etc. Along with keeping the body hydrated, they are also beneficial for health.
